Melton Estate is an award-winning boutique vineyard situated in West Melton, just 20 minutes west of Christchurch. The vineyard includes grape varieties typical of the Canterbury region, namely: Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir. In addition to wines from these grape varieties we have also released a Canterbury Sparkling Riesling (named "Summer Love") and a Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Set on 12 acres the vineyard comprises both some of Canterbury's oldest vines plus new vines which introduce new varieties and clones to the wines offered.

The focus is on producing high quality grapes for small batches of hand crafted fine wines. Our viticultural practices are consistent with sustainable winegrowing.

All wines are made by Scott Berry of Waipara Vinters. Scott is a fantatstic young winemaker who provides great advice to us in the vineyard and produces consistently good wine that we and our guests enjoy.

Melton Estate also promotes the Front Row Wines range to other cafe's and restaurants.
