Melton Estate is proud to announce the release of “Meltonia™” – a méthode traditionelle created using entirely estate-grown grapes, from West Melton, Canterbury. Meltonia™ is all about ‘Making Canterbury Sparkle’ – celebrating everything that Canterbury has to be proud of.
Meltonia™ is a cuvée of estate-grown Chardonnay (60%), Pinot Noir (35%) and Pinot Meunier (5%); a typical blend in true French winemaking style. The fruit was hand-picked by friends and family, with the grapes in pristine condition and just perfect for méthode.
The Melton Estate ‘House Block’ contains some of the oldest vines in Canterbury — around 30 years old and still producing at the highest levels of quality. We are thrilled to be producing wine of such a standard whilst at the same time farming in a sustainable manner.
